Meet Deanna R. Ngueket, CPA
Most of what shapes how this firm works happened before the firm existed. Here is the fuller story.
A career that started outside the United States
Deanna’s path to running her own CPA firm did not start in an accounting classroom in Texas. It started overseas, in the day-to-day work of keeping a growing organization’s finances in order.
From 2010 to 2014, she worked as Corporate Controller for an international organization. In that role she was responsible for a large amount of revenue moving through the organization, and she helped build the financial systems behind four new law offices opening across Africa — setting up how money was tracked, how it was reported, and how each office stayed accountable for it, before any of them had opened their doors.
After that, she started her own company: an international corporate service firm. Through it, she helped businesses work through disputes with tax authorities, reviewed the results of year-end audits, and checked payroll for employees working abroad. This was hands-on work, solving real problems for real companies — not theory.
At a certain point, Deanna decided she wanted to build her career in the United States instead. That meant starting over in a lot of ways. She went back to school for a Master’s degree in Accounting, and she studied for and earned her Texas CPA license — one of the harder professional licenses to get in the country. While she was doing that, she was also running her own small bookkeeping practice, working directly with clients the whole time.
This is the part that makes her different from most CPAs you will meet. A lot of tax preparers are good at one specific thing: taking the documents a client hands them and turning them into an accurate return. That is a real skill, and it matters. But Deanna also spent years on the other side of the table — inside an organization, setting up the systems, watching audits happen, making sure the numbers held up under scrutiny. She is not just recording what already happened. She is looking at how the numbers got there, and what that tells you about the decisions still in front of you.
Deanna Ngueket CPA LLC works on a hybrid basis, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a shortcut. Deanna’s entire career has been built on working with people she was not standing in the same room with — running finances for offices on another continent, advising clients overseas, building systems that did not depend on everyone being in one building. Working this way today is simply a continuation of how she has always worked.
Most clients never need to meet in person, and they prefer it that way. If you would rather sit across a desk and talk it through, that is available by appointment — just say so when you reach out, and we will schedule the time.
What She Brings to the Table Today
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant, State of Texas
- Master’s degree in Accounting
- Focus areas: individuals with returns that have outgrown simple filing, business owners and the self-employed, entity structure decisions, multi-state returns, and IRS representation
- Serves clients across Texas — Houston, Humble, Atascocita, and beyond — and, for federal matters, clients outside Texas as well
- Practicing continuously since founding the firm, available for contact well beyond tax season

“I didn’t want to build a firm where I only talk to clients in the eight weeks before a deadline. The work that actually changes what you owe happens the rest of the year — so that’s when I show up.”
— Deanna Ngueket, CPA
